This shows the English Bridge after it had been rebuilt in the late 18th century. The scene shows four arches of the bridge, the balustrading along the top, and a coach with two pairs of horses moving into the town. Behind is a townscape, with one church spire visible, St. Alkmunds. The river is low, and people are swimming, fishing etc. on the banks.
