A prospect of Shrewsbury from Kingsland Bank, with the Severn encircling most of the town centre and in the distance the Wrekin. The Old Welsh Bridge is shown on the left and a large part of the Town Wall remains. The Castle, Old Shrewsbury School and the towers of the four main churches ar clearly seen. Between the river and the town, the Quarry, with one quarry (now the Dingle) is displayed just left of centre and below the diagonal wooden paling fence which divides the Quarry into two parts. This picture was dedicated to Roger Owen Esq of Condover.
