KS2 Investigating Evolution- following Darwin’s footsteps
During a session at the museum children are introduced to the life and evolutionary work of Charles Darwin, the famous naturalist who was born in Shrewsbury. Following Darwin’s footsteps they then ask the most controversial question of all, ‘Has Man evolved?’ A full day workshop includes either:
• A visit to Shropshire Wildlife Trust to hunt for bugs like a young Charles Darwin and compare adaptations of animals to different habitats.
• A Darwin guided walk around Shrewsbury.
• A Darwin themed art session. Create beautiful bugs, birds and animals in your choice of media . Choose from monoprinting, etching, lino cut, clay or collage.
Half day workshop 10.00am – 12.00pm or 12.30 – 2.30pm
Full day workshop – Time: 10.00am – 2.00pm
Cost: £95 per class for a half-day workshop £190 for a full day workshop + FREE entry to the museum galleries
