Coleham Pumping Station

ColehamColeham Pumping Station was built in 1900 to house two steam-driven beam engines as part of the town’s new sanitation system. The Renshaws of Stoke beam engines were in use until 1970.

The Pumping Station will be open on:

Sunday 12th April.

Sunday 17th May.

Sunday 14th June.

Saturday 12th September

Sunday 13th September

Sunday 25th October.

Admission times are from 10.00am till 4.00pm.


Admission Charge

Adults: £2.50; Seniors: £1.50; Children: £1.00; Family ticket £5.00


Access and Amenities

The building is on a number of different levels and so access is difficult for the less mobile.  Nearest public car park is a 10 minute walk away at St. Julian’s.  Refreshments and public toilets available nearby.


Further Information

Admission for groups may be arranged on the Mondays following the Open Days, to take advantage of ‘Steam Up’ and at other times, without steaming.
