There are no concessions for holders of Blue Badges.

Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery is a historic building accessed on level ground.  Lifts provide access to all floors.  Benches and soft seating is provided throughout the building and there is an accessible WC on each floor.  All reception and exhibition spaces have hard level flooring.  All circulation routes and reception areas within the museum are well lit.  Assistance dogs are welcome.

A hearing induction loop can be made available throughout the building (please enquire ahead of your visit), while the exhibitions include audio clips, tactile opportunities and interactive elements wherever possible.  Additionally, a series of mobile trolleys are located in the galleries providing opportunities for greater interaction. These carry information relating to the displays and also items from the Museum’s handling collections appropriate to the material being exhibited.  Staff and volunteers are on-hand to lead these impromptu sessions and to explain the displays in more depth.  There are large print and braille versions of key museum texts available on request, and our gallery guides are happy to help you get the most from your visit.

We look forward to welcoming you and if you have any queries or require any additional assistance please contact us.
